Rifugio Auronzo alle Tre Cime di Lavaredo - km 48

The Alpine hut "Auronzo" is at 2,333 m and you can reach it on foot or driving up the quite large scenic route in a majestic landscape overlooked by the three needles.
It has 25 comfortable rooms with a minimum of two beds to a maximum of six sleeping berths with a total of 104 sleeping places with the courtesy of a place run directly by the local section of the CAI Auronzo where you can enjoy the delicious food of its restaurant.
The hut has a large dining room with 130 seats and it is placed in a strategic position for the access to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo; besides it is the starting point and the arrival of quiet walks.

Auronzo Hut belongs to the 24 mountain huts of the Belluno Province which have signed the "Carta di Assicurazione della Qualità" (The Document of Quality Assurance) representing their commitment to assure their guests that they serve typical dishes of the Cadorina and Bellunese cuisine prepared following seasonal production and local traditions and using the produce of local farms and dairies.

Rifugio Col Gallina - km 95

The large perfectly well-tended meadow complete with reclining chairs and playground makes this an ideal spot for families and children.
The restaurant is situated, at a short distance from the Falzarego Pass and the Dolomites Way in the direction of Cortina d'Ampezzo, at the hub of a dense network of easy paths and really beautiful excursions towards the Torri Falzarego and the Averau.
The large terrace faces the ski slopes of the Gallina Ridge. The young men who run the refuge, Giorgio and Raniero, organise parties, entertainment and, in winter, romantic walks on snow shoes in the woods and on the snow-covered slopes of the area.

The restaurant specialises in typical mountain dishes.
Guests have at their disposal ample parking, ski storage space and a heated gazebo on the spacious terrace. The refuge has comfortable rooms with a choice of half board or bed and breakfast.

Col Gallina Refuge


Rifugio Averau - km 98

A coveted milestone along the Alta Via no.1 of the Dolomites, the Averau alpine hut is located between Cortina d’Ampezzo and the other Ladin valleys, and is both starting point and destination for excursions on foot and by bike.
Recently renovated, it offers the possibility to spend the night in delightful rooms for 2 or 4 persons, with private bathroom. Dormitory style rooms with 6 or 10 beds are available for groups.
For an unforgettable evening on the mountain, the hut organizes dinners with access in jeep in summer and snowmobile in winter, with the option of nocturnal skiing after dinner to enjoy the starlight sky at altitude. Paola and Sandrone take turns cooking and are known for their refined cuisine, which can be enjoyed on the large terrace with amazing views of the Civetta and the Marmolada.


Rifugio Croda da Lago - km 108

An undisputed natural paradise, the refuge is situated in a magical spot overlooking the colossal mountains of Croda da Lago, Croda Rossa, Pomagagnon, Cristallo, Sorapiss and Becco di Mezzodì. Far from the bustle of everyday life, it is easy to reach on foot, by mountain bike, on alpine skis or snow shoes. It is run by mountain guide Modesto Alverà and his wife Monica, who have managed to maintain the “old style” of the historic refuges of yesteryear.
Within its walls there is a joyous atmosphere that only the harmony of a large family can convey. Lake Fedèra, an extraordinary jewel in this casket, extends to the side of the refuge. It is a beautiful playground for children. Croda da Lago refuge propose a brand new way to pamper yourself at 2.046 meters of altitude: a Finnish sauna situated between the refuge and the beautiful Lake Federa.
A truly unique experience with good food, stunning scenery and not least, the pleasure of a hot steam bath.
